Dr. Andrew Pavelescu is a surgically trained, double board certified, podiatric foot & ankle surgeon with extensive training in all aspects of reconstructive surgery, sports medicine, and podiatric medicine of the lower limb. Dr. Pavelescu has spent many years specializing in musculoskeletal disorders that specifically affect your feet and ankles, and as such, he not only understands the complexity of the foot & ankle, but also the very real effect that lower extremity problems have on his patients’ lives. Dr. Joseph Schmidl is a highly skilled and compassionate board certified podiatric physician that specializes in a wide variety of foot and ankle treatments. He focuses on both conservative and surgical treatment options with an emphasis on non-surgical care. He believes all conservative treatment options should be thoroughly exhausted before considering surgical intervention. He is widely considered a top podiatrist in Port Charlotte, FL among his peers.

Dr. Lya Basha is a compassionate and dedicated podiatrist committed to helping patients achieve lasting comfort and mobility. She brings a well-rounded background in diagnosing and treating a wide range of lower extremity conditions, from sports injuries and trauma to chronic foot and ankle pain. Dr. Basha earned her Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine from Barry University in 2018 after completing a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences at the University of Central Florida in 2013. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Digital Media. Dr. Basha completed her residency training at Boston Medical Center beginning in 2019, where she gained extensive experience in inpatient, outpatient, and surgical care.

Samir Vakil, DPM, FACFAS is a board-certified podiatric physician and surgeon who has been in private practice since 1993. Dr. Vakil completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Florida where he earned his BS in Microbiology. He then attended Barry University in Miami Shores, FL where he earned his MS in Biomedical Sciences before completing his DPM degree at Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine. After graduating podiatry school, Dr. Vakil completed a Foot & Ankle Trauma Fellowship in Feldkirch, Austria, followed by a Podiatric Surgical Residency at St. Francis Central Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA.

Podiatrist Stephen Petrofsky, DPM, PA is committed to increasing his patients’ quality of life by providing excellent foot and ankle care. Serving the surrounding community of Port Charlotte, FL, Dr. Petrofsky’s practice treats a variety of foot and ankle conditions including heel spurs, arthritis, and foot and ankle fractures.
