Halloween Comes Early to Port Charlotte —
And Somebody Left the Haunted House Door Open!
Two haunted houses, live entertainment, creepy characters, and nine nights of Halloween madness are headed to Port Charlotte. Bring the family. And somebody who screams louder than you do.
You know Halloween is approaching when stores start selling candy by the truckload, neighbors install twelve-foot skeletons, and grown adults argue over inflatable pumpkins. Well, hang onto your plastic pumpkins, Port Charlotte.
Halloween is showing up early, and it's bringing company.
Halloween Notte returns to the Charlotte County Fairgrounds on Friday, October 16, bringing haunted houses, live entertainment, costumed characters, food vendors, and enough spooky atmosphere to make your mother-in-law seem downright cuddly.
And the best part? No driving to Orlando, refinancing your house, or spending three hours in traffic. Nine Nights of Frights — Because One Weekend Apparently Isn't Enough
Halloween Notte's 2026 schedule includes October 16–18, October 23–25, and October 29–31. Nine opportunities to get your Halloween fix before neighborhood kids start demanding candy like tiny, costumed IRS agents.
Visitors can explore two haunted houses, The Asylum and The Butcher's, enjoy live performances, and encounter professional scare actors. And here's the good news.
You don't actually have to enjoy being scared out of your socks to have fun. Scaredy-Cats Welcome. No Judgment. Well, Maybe a Little. Some people love haunted houses. They happily pay money to walk through dark hallways while complete strangers jump out at them.
Others consider that an excellent reason to stay home. Fortunately, Halloween Notte's admission options accommodate both.
Want the full experience? Choose admission covering both haunted houses.
Prefer keeping your blood pressure below emergency-room levels? There's a grounds-only option.
Families can enjoy the Kids Zone and children's packages. Parents should review the attractions before sending little Johnny somewhere that'll have him sleeping with the lights on until Thanksgiving.
What's the Damage? Surprisingly, Not Terrifying.
According to the official ticket information, advertised prices include:
- Ghost Pass: $25 — Both haunted houses, live show, and Kids Zone.
- Mini Vampire: $15 — Ages 12 and under, accompanied by an adult.
- Zombie Pass: $5 — Grounds only.
- Witches & Warlocks: $21 — Veterans and seniors.
- Family Pack: $60 — Two adults and three children.
Here's a money-saving tip: Buy tickets online. Organizers advertise free parking with online purchases, and gate admission costs more. Because nothing ruins a haunted evening faster than discovering the scariest thing was your receipt.
Where's All This Halloween Hooliganism Happening?
The festivities take place at the Charlotte County Fairgrounds, located at 2333 El Jobean Road, Port Charlotte, FL 33948.

A Little Local Fun Without the Orlando Traffic
Halloween Notte offers Port Charlotte families and friends some Halloween mischief without leaving Charlotte County. Check dates, packages, and availability before heading out.
One final piece of advice:
Bring somebody who scares easily.
Not because we're mean.
Because when something jumps out of the darkness, it's comforting knowing somebody else will scream louder than you. And if that somebody happens to be your husband, ladies, we promise not to tell.
Well... not until Monday.

Local events like Halloween Notte are the best way to keep the community strong. Love that this is happening right here, and no one has to fight Orlando traffic!
Heard about this event last year and it was packed! If you hate long lines, get your tickets super early. Also, bring cash just in case the food trucks don’t take cards.
Not sure how I feel about paying extra if I don’t buy tickets online though. Does seem a bit like a sneaky way to make more money at the gate.
I love that they’re using professional scare actors. Those folks really add to the atmosphere and make the haunted houses legit creepy. Can’t wait!
Nine nights is a smart move. Weekend events tend to get overcrowded, so spreading it out should make it way more enjoyable and less stressful parking-wise.
I’m a total scaredy-cat but the grounds-only option sounds perfect for me. Just want to soak up the Halloween vibe without jumping out of my skin!
Melanie P.Same here, Melanie! I went with the grounds-only pass last year and still had a blast watching the live entertainment and kids having fun without the scary stuff.
$25 for both haunted houses and a live show is not bad at all. I went to similar events that charged way more. Good to see something affordable here in Port Charlotte.
I’m definitely getting the Family Pack for us and the kids! Glad there’s a kids zone cause my little one gets scared easy. Anyone know if the food vendors have good snacks?
Jenna M.The food vendors usually have a good mix! Last year I remember seeing everything from funnel cakes to spicy snacks. Perfect for a quick bite between scares.
