District Nears 'A' Rating with Unprecedented Academic Gains |
Charlotte County Public Schools have reached a significant milestone in the 2024–2025 academic year, earning a 'B' grade from the Florida Department of Education, narrowly missing an 'A' by just 0.25%.
This marks the district's highest performance in over a decade.
Notably, nine schools achieved 'A' ratings, an 80% increase from the previous year, reflecting substantial academic progress across the district.
Superintendent Mark Vianello expressed pride in the district's achievements, stating, "We are incredibly proud of our students, teachers, staff, and parents for this achievement." He emphasized that while a single district grade doesn't capture the full story, the improvement reflects the belief that every student can succeed.
The district's strategic investments in instructional rigor, data-driven coaching, and student-centered learning initiatives have been pivotal in these gains.
Schools such as Deep Creek Elementary and L.A. Ainger Middle School have exemplified excellence, contributing to the district's overall success.
As Charlotte County Schools prepare for the upcoming academic year, the focus remains on sustaining and building upon these achievements to ensure continued success for all students. |
