Dr. Ghuman completed his retina and vitreous medical and surgical training at West Virginia University, Morgantown, WV. He joined Dr. Walker, Dr. Wing, and Dr. Raskauskas at Retina Consultants of Southwest Florida in 2000. He has been the principal investigator in dozens of pivotal clinical trials that have led to FDA approval of new therapies to fight retina or vitreous diseases. He is currently the principal investigator for multiple National Health Institute/National Eye Institute studies. He has served as an instructor at University of Texas Medical Branch and West Virginia University and has served as an Adjunct Assistant Clinical Scientist for the Schepens Eye Research Institute affiliated with Harvard Medical School in Boston.

Dr. Sara Bijan received her Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences at the University of South Florida, graduating summa cum laude and as a member of the competitive Honors College. She earned her medical degree at the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine. She completed her internal medicine internship, ophthalmology residency, and cornea fellowship at the University of South Florida. Dr. Bijan is an expert in the diagnosis and management of cornea and external diseases, including Keratoconus, Fuchs’ Dystrophy, dry eye disease, and infectious diseases of the cornea.
