Good News: Parts of Bayshore Live Oak Park Are Back

New Amenities Come Online

Residents who enjoy spending time along the waterfront have more reasons to visit Bayshore Live Oak Park, as Charlotte County officials announced that additional amenities have reopened following shoreline restoration work.

The county said shoreline renourishment has been completed at the park and additional sections of safety fencing have been removed, allowing expanded public access to this popular Port Charlotte waterfront space.

What’s Newly Open at Bayshore Live Oak Park

With shoreline restoration complete in several areas, visitors can now enjoy expanded access to key features. According to the county’s update, the following areas are now open:

  • Additional walking paths for casual strolls and exercise
  • Additional unobstructed-view parking for easier waterfront access

What’s Still Closed (For Now)

While several amenities have reopened, the county notes that other areas and amenities will remain closed until permanent repairs are completed. Visitors are encouraged to follow posted signage and avoid restricted areas for safety.

For ongoing updates, the county’s Parks section and the All Parks hub are useful places to check for park-related information.
